Without clean water, sanitation and hygiene, the world will not be able to end poverty
Ending the global water crisis is essential if we are to save lives and end extreme poverty. These are problems that can be solved in our lifetime.
Every day, more than 800 children under 5 die from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and unsafe hygiene practices. One in 10 people on the planet still have no access to clean water. And, the global water crisis disproportionately impacts women and girls who spend an estimated 200 million hours hauling water every day.
Together with our donors and partners around the world, we have an extremely ambitious but achievable plan to reach everyone, everywhere we work with clean water.
World Vision is the leading nongovernmental provider of clean water in the developing world, but we do so much more. We address a full range of human needs, including education, health, and economic development. And it all starts with water.
Join us to ensure children no longer die from preventable diseases.
