Every 60 seconds, another child is pushed into severe malnutrition
Countries like Somalia, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo have been severely affected by drought and conflict. In a bid to find food and shelter, many have fled their homes and travelled far to seek refuge at Internally Displaced People’s (IDP) camps. However, there is often not enough food to go around.
At this very moment, a staggering 1.8 million children in Somalia are malnourished, with over 400,000 facing severe malnutrition. As more families are forced to leave their homes due to natural and man-made disasters, the number of lives at risk will only escalate.
