By 2030, two-thirds of the world’s extreme poor will be found in fragile contexts, mostly children.
Our Emergencies and Fragile work is a multi-sectored approach that helps meet four of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, to end poverty by 2030.
Our Survive, Adapt, Thrive strategy is tailored for complex, rapidly changing conditions.
Survive
We address the immediate survival needs of children and their families, including providing food, water, shelter, and ensuring the safety of children.
Adapt
We work with communities to establish stability and adapt more effectively to their situation. This includes rebuilding livelihoods and ensuring primary healthcare services are strong and durable.
Thrive
As the local situation stabilizes and strengthens, longer-term development and transformational activities are launched, including those that deal with the root causes of fragility, poverty, insecurity, and broken government systems.
With your help we can continue to bring hope and a brighter future to the world's most vulnerable girls and boys.
