The cyclone, which made landfall in Mozambique on March 14, 2019, is being described as potentially the Southern Hemisphere's worst ever weather-related disaster.
It's estimated that over 2.5 million people have been affected with hundreds of thousands of people forced to flee homes that have been inundated with floodwaters.
Children affected by this disaster are now especially vulnerable to disease, hunger and injury. Some have been separated from their families and are in urgent need of protection.
World Vision is on the ground distributing emergency food, clean water and temporary shelter supplies among displaced families. This response will grow once we have a full picture of survivors' needs.
