Right now in Africa, more than 4 million children under five are at risk of starvation, and they need your help. Together, we can bring greater hope to affected-families by providing life-saving food, water and more.
What has caused this hunger crisis? Failed rains have cost families their household farms, water sources and daily food. Others have been uprooted from their farms because of conflict. As a result, millions of people have been forced from their homes to search for food and to find safety. Thousands of unaccompanied and vulnerable children are among the more than one million South Sudanese refugees forced to make the dangerous, grueling trek to Uganda.
Currently, there are more than 20 million people in Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen in need of immediate assistance. When expanded to include other severely affected neighbouring countries, the number rises to 34 million.
World Vision is on the ground working to help save lives. But, we need your support. Together we can help children and families recover faster and stronger.
